FAQ

  • What is a pressurized wall?

A pressurized wall is a wall that looks and functions in the same way as any standard wall, but is installed through the use of precision sizing and pressure, as opposed to screws. Pressurized walls are often used when a building’s codes don’t allow for any damage to the existing structure because they can be easily removed at any point without leaving harm behind. A pressurized wall is also a good solution for a temporary divider need, such as a temporary showroom or exhibit.

  • Does my building allow pressurized walls?

In New York City, there is no one-size-fits-all regulation for building codes when it comes to pressurized walls. If you are not sure if your building allows the construction of pressurized walls, feel free to reach out to one of our friendly staff members to determine the status and regulations for your building.

If your building does not allow temporary walls, we have many additional options, such as free standing walls and bookshelf “walls”, that can satisfy your needs while meeting your building’s codes.

  • What will the wall look like?

Your pressurized wall will look like any other wall in your space! We guarantee that new visitors will never be able to guess which wall is temporary and which walls are part of the existing structure. A pressurized wall can be painted, decorated with pictures, and even equipped with hanging items, such as TVs, up to 30 pounds.

  • What happens with the wall if I move or no longer need it?

We will gladly remove your temporary wall charge of $850, whenever you are ready. Your space will be completely restored to its original dimensions, with no marks or damage denoting the existence of the pressurized wall.

  • How much notice do I need to give to remove the wall?

We require 30 days notice to remove your pressurized wall. However, please note that we only remove walls on a Monday. $850 fee for removal. Must give 30 days advance notice for this pricing. If the 30-day period ends on any day but a Monday, we reserve the right to remove the wall up to and including the next available Monday. For best availability, we recommend reaching out to our staff to schedule your removal date as early as possible.
